Summary
A baby's bonnet, crocheted in cream-coloured, silky, cotton thread. It is very elaborately crocheted and lined in cream-coloured silk (possibly 1920s). The main part of the design consists of a double row of flower-shaped motifs, another of which forms the centre of the piece at the back of the head. There is a double-layered scalloped edge all around, and narrow, cream-coloured ribbon is threaded through in a double row around the edges and also around the back piece. At each side of the bonnet are a few odd threads, possibly where a ribbon was sewn on, then removed.
