Summary
A letter to Richard Richardson of Capenhurst near Chester, from his cousin, Emma Constable, in London, dated 29 April 1819. The letter is handwritten in ink on cream coloured paper. On the front left-hand side of the letter is Richard Richardson's name and address. The letter has been folded to make an envelope and fixed with a seal. This has been cut away and is attached to the centre of the letter. The letter is written as a result of a letter from a Dr. Richardson stating that Richard Richardson has been ill. She hopes he, Richard Richardson, is now recovered and reiterates her gratitude for his previous generosity. She writes of general family news and thanks him for £5, sent via Dr. Richardson. The letter is impressed with 'Derbyshire Museum Service'. There is a small typed précis of this letter enclosed with the original.
