Summary
A letter from Emma Constable to Richard Richardson from Capenhurst near Chester, her cousin, dated 15.4.1800. It is handwritten in ink on both sides on cream coloured paper. On the front left-hand side is the name and address of Richard Richardson. The letter has been folded to form an envelope and fixed with a seal which has been cut away and attached to the centre fold. The letter thanks Richard Richardson for his kindness, tells him she is trying to get a shop, emphasizes her difficulties, sends her respects to relations and acknowledges receipt of 25 pounds. Impressed on one side is 'Derbyshire Museum Service'.
