Summary
Eighteen sheets of cream paper stapled together, on which is handwritten, in black ink, the reminiscence of WWII (Mr. K. Britten). He has not signed the eighteen page account, but someone has handwritten his name in pencil on the top right-hand corner of the first sheet. There are two sheets of cream paper on which is handwritten in pencil, in someone else's hand, extracts from the eighteen page account. Total number of items is 3.
Marks and inscriptions
On the bottom of page 18: 'Note - This account was written originally in/ 1979, hence the reference to sirens being used/ to call firemen to their stations in country areas./ As a child my home was in Bedford.'
