Summary
A pit pony's helmet made of leather which is basically a face mask for a pony. It has two eye holes and a strip that goes down over the nostrils. There are rounded pockets protruding upwards from the bottom outer corner of each eyehole. Adjustable leather straps lead from the top, down through the nostril end and back up the other side. The top sections are buckled back to form loops that hold metal rings connected to a metal cross piece. Another adjustable leather strap goes around the back of the head. The area under the eye holes has padding inside, that extends down the nose strip.
