Summary
A child's wooden commode chair painted light green. The chair is mid to late 19th century and is a reduced version of a 'Thames Valley' style chair. The arms, legs, spindles, stretchers and back uprights are turned. In the seat is a circular hole. Holes in the arms possibly for a restraint.

Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs Billinge in February 1986.
