Summary
Forty-five rectangular glass lantern slides in a rectangular cardboard box on which is written 'Miscellaneous Slides For Magic Lantern'. Four slides have cream paper borders, each slide with four roundels. A sequence runs through each set of four roundels. One sequence depicts a bear; another mice and bags of malt; another a cockerel, and another, a pair of men with swords. There are six lantern slides with pink paper borders. Five of these each contain four roundels which run in sequence. Two of the slides are numbered 1-4; two slides are numbered 5-6; and one 9-12. The last slide has one scene (which is not numbered) depicting horses and riders. One slide with an orange paper border has five roundels, each depicting a different animal or bird. Two slides have pale pink borders, one with a single scene of stags, a fox and rabbits, the other containing five roundels, each with a child in different national dress. Five slides have dark orange paper borders. Each slide has four roundels numbered 1-4; 9-12; 13-16; 17-20 and 21-24. They tell the story of Peter Pan. Two slides have dark orange paper borders. Each slide has four roundels numbered 1-4 and 5-8. They tell the story of 'Sinbad'. Two slides have dark orange paper borders. Each slide has four roundels numbered 1-4 and 5-8. They tell the story of Aladdin. A slide with an orange paper border and four roundels numbered 9-12 showing scenes connected with sailing and hunting in the ice. A slide with an orange paper border showing, in one scene, an African with a rifle over his shoulder; a man holding a trowel and brush; a baker; a girl with a hand mirror; and a man holding a top hat and a bunch of flowers.
