Summary
A square cardboard box for lantern slides, with a removable lid, now empty. Printed on the lid of the box is a picture of a lantern slide entitled 'Jack Causes The Giant's Downfall'. On the base of the box is a printed paper label entitled 'Junior Lecturers Series'. The label is divided into 'Series A', 'Series B' and 'Series C'. On one side of the lid is printed 'Coloured Lantern Slides. No.512.- Jack And The Bean Stalk In One Chapter.' On the other side of the lid is printed 'No. 512.-Jack And The Bean Stalk. 1 Jack's Mother grieved at parting with their cow, 2 Jack exchanges the cow for a handful of beans, 3 The beans grow up, and Jack climbs to the top, 4 To find a fairy who tells him how the giant killed his father, 5 Jack steals the giant's hen that lays the golden eggs, 6 Jack takes the giant's money, 7 Jack runs away with the giant's harp, but the giant pursues him, 8 Jack causes the giant's downfall.'
