Summary
A large, three storey, wooden, double fronted doll's house (circa 1900), made by G & J Lines, painted white with green window frames. It is the No.24, sometimes known as the 'Kit's Coty' house.It has two, black painted roofs - the right hand one is gable with three black painted struts on the front; the left hand roof tapers to a flat top with a white painted wooden parapet. On the front side of this roof is a dormer window, also with a green painted window frame. Each roof has a chimney stack, the left hand side with one beige chimney pot, the right hand chimney stack has two beige chimney pots. The left hand side of the front facade opens outwards on hinges. It has a bay window with three glazed windows on both the ground and first floor. Running around the front of the left hand side of the facade is a green and grey painted fence. The left side wall has two glazed windows, one above the other. The right hand side of the front facade also opens outwards on hinges. On the left is a front door with an overhanging porch. The door has a leaded light window. To the right is a glazed window. Above are two first floor windows (the left hand one is cracked). Running around the front of the left hand side of the front facade is a green painted fence which encloses a vinyl coloured stone patio. On the right side wall of the house are two glazed windows, one above the other. Each side of the house has two rooms one above the other, each with a fireplace. A white painted wooden staircase runs up from the left hand side of the right hand ground floor room to the first floor right hand room. Each room has an electric light switch on one wall. There are five pieces of pink and brown rubber backed carpet tile used as flooring in the two first floor rooms. There are two pieces of green carpet in the two ground floor rooms and three pieces of rolled up wrapping paper in the right hand ground floor room. One is pink with gold coloured spots; one yellow with gold coloured spots and one with a floral decoration. The doll's house is attached to a plinth on castors. There is evidence of woodworm activity and possible beetles. Total number of items is 13.
