Summary
A mid 20th century folding wooden chair (possibly a school chair) with worn varnish. The seat is nailed onto the frame and is decorated with perforated holes in the shape of a star inside a circle. Each chair back upright and each front leg are fashioned from a single piece of wood. The front of the seat is supported by the back legs. The front and back legs are pivoted together with a hinged metal bracket enabling the chair to be folded flat. There are two turned front stretchers and a shaped back stretcher between the front and back legs. There is a broad top rail and a narrow back rail below.
