Summary
A board for the game 'Monopoly', consisting of a board which folds into two halves lengthways. Printed in colour around each edge of the board are rectangles, each with a different road name or railway station. In the bottom right hand corner is a square marked 'Go'; in the bottom left is a square marked 'In Jail, Just Visiting'; in the top left is a square marked 'Free Parking'; and in the top right is a square marked 'Go To Jail'. In the centre of the board is a black line drawing of two trains and two houses, and the word 'Monopoly' is written above it. A '£' slightly overlaps the second 'O' in Monopoly. Also in the centre of the board are two rectangles one marked 'Chance' and the other 'Community Chest'. Waddington's of Leeds acquired the rights for the game in 1935 and named the roads connected to London.
