Summary
A jigsaw puzzle (c1938), 'The Mystery on Board PH-ABD'),made from paper stuck on card. The colour image depicts a red and grey aeroplane with the letters 'PH-ABD' written on it. Above this aeroplane is a blue aeroplane, and both are above an airport with three other aircraft on the ground. In the bottom right-hand corner is a policeman, Inspector Hornleigh, and two other men. The puzzle is accompanied by its original box which is made of cardboard and depicts a young boy wearing an orange suit and holding a yellow notice which reads 'Inspector Hornleigh Investigates'. There is also a set of instructions for how to solve 'Problem 3' and a piece of blue paper which, when moistened, reveals the solution. Total number of items is 193.
