Summary
A wooden pedlar doll with a painted face and hair, and painted facial features. The doll has a wooden body, with jointed arms and legs. The doll is wearing a long sleeved brown fabric dress, cream fabric apron and red wool woollen cape and black satin bonnet with black ribbon trim. She has a white outer petticoat, cream flannel inner petticoat and white fabric inner petticoat and red painted shoes. Hanging from a black ribbon around her neck is an oval wicker tray containing her wares including pincushions, buttons, a thimble, a brush and a miniature illustrated book entitled 'Bijou Comic Album'. The following items are detached from her tray; a length of string, an embroidered pincushion, a wicker cane basket containing a miniature wooden jointed doll, a metal thimble, a lace bonnet with paper label attached with a handwritten price code, two ribbon and lace bonnets, one diamond shaped and one guitar shaped pincushion, one tortoiseshell comb, one cylindrical canvas case with lid, one fabric oval, one hand mirror with painted back, one needle case with the following printed label 'George Holyoake's Original Diamond 12 Drilld Eyd Sharps.
