Summary
'Schoenhut' animals - Two dogs, two horses, a goat and a donkey all made of painted wood with jointed legs, necks and heads. There is also a wooden barrel painted red, white and blue with a hole running through it (circa 1903 to circa 1930). They are all part of the Schoenhut 'Humpty Dumpty' circus set. One dog is painted white with painted facial features and a cord tail (slightly unravelled), his front paws rest on the barrel. The other dog is white with a cord tail, an open mouth painted red with white painted teeth, and inset brown glass or plastic eyes. It is wearing a white wool cape over half of its back and its head. The goat is painted black and white with a white leather beard and horns, a black leather tail and ears . It has painted facial features and an open red mouth. One horse is black and white with painted facial features, an open mouth painted red with white teeth, a black thread tail, and leather ears. It has a red leather harness. The other horse is painted brown with painted facial features, and open mouth painted red with white teeth, a black thread tail, and leather ears. It is wearing a leather saddle and harness . The dark brown donkey has painted facial features, an open mouth painted red with white teeth, a twisted string tail, and long leather ears. Total number of items is 7.
