Summary
Two skin covered papier mache (possibly) pull-along 'saddle horses' (1920s) of the 'platform and wheels' type and each standing on a wooden plinth. They were possibly made by the German manufacturer 'Bauer and Krause', Leipzig. Manufactured from the late 19th century till the 1930s. They are covered in stitched skin, now very worn. They both wear leather harnesses with metal loops, some missing, for holding traces. Only one has a tail. This feeding box is part of a set consisting of a stable, trolley, carriage and 5 horses - inventory number 665409. Total number of items is 2.
