Summary
A 'Judy' glove puppet (the wife of 'Mr Punch') (circa 1880). She has a carved wooden head, hands, lower legs and feet. Her head is painted flesh colour with painted blue eyes, pink cheeks and a red mouth. She has a hooked nose. She wears a carved and painted yellow mop cap with a blue ribbon. There is paint loss to her mob cap and nose. Her wooden hands are painted flesh colour. Her lower legs and feet are painted black. She wears a blue wool dress trimmed at the neck and skirt with white lace (badly stained). The sleeves and her drawers are made of a pinky red floral fabric. Both the cuffs and bottom edge of the drawers are trimmed with white lace which is also badly stained.
