Summary
A doll's size, early 20th century split cane seated chair. The chair has a decorative bentwood back and the arms are bound in alternating light and dark (ebonised - stained to mimic ebony) stripes. It is possible that part of the legs are made from wood. The loops are held in place by tightly bound cord. Cane 'struts' support the arms and seat. A cross shaped stretcher supports all four legs. The seat is made of wood nailed to which are parallel pieces of split cane.
