Summary
A cotton broiderie anglaise sampler (circa 1892). The edge is finished with buttonhole stitches and a blue transfer is visible at both ends. This item is possibly the 'work of Sophie Golden, aged sixteen years, a pupil of Westgate House, Peterborough. Conducted by Miss Willoughby.'
