Summary
A toy pushalong bear covered in blonde fur fabric and stuffed with sawdust (circa 1911). It is supported on a metal frame on wheels. It has one original ear, the other is a brown fabric replacement in poor condition. The original tail is also in very poor repair. The fur fabric is very worn on the bear's back and there are holes (presumably from children having ridden the bear). The hand-stitched black wool nose is very badly worn. The bear has wooden eyes and the head rotates.
Provenance
Loaned to the Museum of Childhood by the Betty Cadbury Trust Sudbury in January 1994.
