Summary
A late 19th century (possibly) pull-along 'platform and wheels' type toy horse drawn omnibus painted red, yellow and blue. Vehicles of this type were mainly used in the late 19th century in both the United States and Europe, and was one of the most common means of transportation in cities. It has two large wooden spoked wheels at the rear and two smaller ones at the front, all painted red. The omnibus has four rectangular open windows, and an open door and dropped step at the rear. The driver's seat, with a wire rail on three sides, is on top of the roof of the omnibus. On either side of the top of the roof is a sign reading 'London Bridge Railway'. On either side of the omnibus is painted 'Paddington, Oxford St., Holborn, Bank'. The omnibus is pulled by a pair of grey wooden horses on a red-painted wheeled stand. One has lost it's mane and has a long grey hair tail. The other has a red hair mane and a short grey hair tail. They each wear broken leather harnesses. The horses are attached to the omnibus by a wooden 'trace'. Total number of items is 2.
