Summary
A wooden baby carriage (1880s), which is inspired by a mail cart design. The carriage could be converted to carry a child. It is painted green and yellow (possibly professionally repainted) with a black leather hinged and folding hood (re-made) lined with pink flannel or wool, and attached to the carriage with metal rivets. It has two large metal wheels with spokes and two small metal wheels with spokes - the small wheels are used to improve the turning circle of the carriage. There is a green imitation leather upholstered seat at the front. This has a hinged section, which enables the seat to be in either a raised or lowered position. There is a metal (styled like twisted rope) bar at the back.
