Summary
A clown or jester with a painted wood or papier-mâché face, a white openwork lace ruff, a red and white striped fabric body with stuffed arms. The three pointed hat is also stuffed and the middle point has a brass bell attached to it. The lower edge of the fabric body is sewn or glued to the inner edge of a blue and white fabric covered cone. At the tapered end of the cone is a wooden rod with a wooden ball at the end. When the stick is pushed into the cone it pushes the clown or jester upwards.
