Summary
This plywood jigsaw has twenty large interlocking pieces, depicting children at a picnic. In the foreground is a robin perched on entwined brambles and honeysuckle. The children are gathered under a fruit laden apple tree. Two girls are sitting by the picnic cloth with three cherry topped cakes and three apples spread out. Two children are standing, one is holding the lead of a jumping dog. The design is printed in colour, the ground is mostly green, there is a narrow twining flower and berry border, pattern edged with red. There are grey numbered stepping stones in the picture for a game. Under the jigsaw is the matching picture and a plain cardboard base. Instructions for play are on a white label on the base. Printed on the label is 'Abbatt toys Jigsaw Game 25 piece (presumably a misprint) Wooden Floor Jigsaw makes into a Simple stepping stones game. For 4 years onwards. Made in England. Ref: 8007/179'. Total number of items is 23.
