Summary
A baby's rattle manufactured by Mothercare, in its original cardboard box (circa 1982). The plastic rattle is dumbbell shaped. At each end is a sphere, half red and half clear, containing a yellow freely moving piece of plastic consisting of two interlocking discs which makes a bell like sound when rattled. These two spheres are joined by a red rod. This rod has a piece of wire stuck through it with sharp ends and remains of glue. This possibly used for display of some sort. The rattle is in an oblong open ended cardboard box. On two sides of the box are pictures of the rattle and 'Mothercare' in yellow print. In white print is 'Hochet de Securite Rumba' on one side and 'Rumba Sicherheits-Klapper'. The third side of the box has a picture of the rattle, and printed 'Mothercare' in yellow. It also has 'Rumba Safety Rattle £1.40 Carefully Made in Great Britain' in white. On the fourth side of the box are two pictures of a baby playing with the rattle and information in three languages. Total number of items is 2.
