Summary
A metal toy (Super Comet) sewing machine painted red on a red base. The machine is operated by a handle attached to a drive wheel on the right hand side of the machine. A bobbin holder on the right side of the front, a lever at the rear to lift and lower the foot which sits on an unpainted plate and a lever on the left hand side to carry the thread.
Provenance
Purchased for the Museum of Childhood by Mr Stephen Feber (former Assistant Curator) in June 1983.
