A toy articulated snake wooden snake painted in brown stripes. The eyes and facial markings are also painted. Some of the wood is left unpainted. The whole has been varnished. A groove has been cut into the head to indicate the mouth. A narrow leather tongue has been glued so that it protrudes from the front of the mouth. When the snake is held either by the tapered tip of the tail or by its tapering body it moves from side to side because along the entire length of its body it has grooves cut inwards towards the centre enabling it to be fully articulated..
