Summary
A baby's toy in it's original box made by Ambi Toys (possibly 1970s). The toy is a set of four coloured plastic 3-D shapes. The first is a blue cube, one side of which is a mirror, the opposite side (which is white) has a conical depression. The second is a red cone with a small hole at each end and a shallow conical depression in its white base. The third is a purple cylinder with a white base. Into the top of this is inserted a yellow cylinder with a hollow recess in its top. When the yellow part is pressed down the toy squeaks. The fourth is a yellow and white ring into which a red and green ball (which rattles) fits. All four will stack loosely but they do not form a recognisable object when stacked. The square white cardboard base has a cardboard insert with four cut out shapes for the toys. The lid is printed in colour with a photo of a child stacking brightly coloured toys on an orange surface. The lid is entitled 'active baby', the first word printed in red, the second in black. On the left is a logo of a round white face with a red hat on a square blue brick. Next to the logo are the words 'ambi toys' and a red, white, black and blue stripe running across the lid. There is a small white sticky label printed with 'Kindergarten' and the price, '£5.25'. Beneath the photo, in black print, are the words 'a baby-action-toy for manipulative play'. Total number of items is 7.
