Summary
A set of Richter's Anchor Blocks in a wooden box with a removable lid and removable internal tray. The lid has split in two and been repaired. On the exterior of the lid is a colour printed label of a building constructed from the Richter's Anchor blocks. Beneath the illustration is printed 'Richter's Anchor Blocks. (Original Box.) F. AD. RICHTER AND Cie., RUDOLSTADT, NURNBERG, OLTEN, ROTTERDAM, WIEN, NEW YORK.' On the interior of the lid is a colour printed label detailing the different sized and coloured blocks. Beside these is printed the words 'Anchor Blocks No.8 (Lennep) Contains 4 Books of Designs Nos. 2, 4 and a half, 6 and 8, 1 Practical Architect No.8, 2 Packing-Designs Nos. 6 and 6A, 1 Ground-plan and 8 Sheets of paper figures Nos. I-VIII. Next Supplement Box (No.8A (Mayen). The box contains 207 stone blocks in blue, red and beige stone. They are different sizes and shapes. One is broken. Also inside the box are four Richter's booklets and loose pages from these booklets illustrated with colour diagrams of building which can be assembled using the blocks. Total number of items is 227.
