Summary
A brightly painted wooden toy butcher's shop, with the butcher and his dog. The butcher has painted facial features and black painted hair and moustache. He is wearing a green painted shirt and blue and white striped painted apron. In his right hand he holds a huge silver coloured knife. He stands with his left foot at right angles to his right. Both of his arms swing. There is also a toy wooden butcher's block with an undulating top surface, and a wooden toy butcher's bulldog, with painted facial features, licking his teeth. All three are highly varnished. The wooden toy butcher's shop has an elaborate scroll decoration at the top. The word BUTCHER appears in red and green above the scroll, and there is a green bird on the top. The base of the shop has a scalloped edge and the underside is covered in green felt. Inside the shop are two horizontal wooden bars each with many metal hooks. These hooks support the black and silver coloured butcher's knife, his cleaver, and many joints of meat. Each is highly varnished and has a red painted decoration on it to resemble sliced meat. Total number of items is 23.
