Summary
A set of Lott's Bricks in their original box (Box Three). The box is made of wood, and has a sliding lid. The lid has a colour-printed (dirty) paper label which has an image of 'MARKET HALL (one of the many models contained in Box Three)', and 'LOTT'S BRICKS BRITISH MADE THOUGHOUT IN STONE.' and 'COMPLETE WITH BRICKS, ROOFS AND PLANS FOR 49 MODELS. DESIGNED THROUGHOUT BY/ MR. ARNOLD MITCHELL, Architect. Copyright (1911) Act'. There are three roofing sections, each made from two pieces of cardboard hinged at the centre with cotton tape and covered in orange paper printed with black lines - two with square halves, two rectangular and two almost triangular. The bricks themselves are made from light polished stone with chamfered edges - mostly very pale, almost white, some dark red. They are in a large range of sizes but are mostly rectangular, with some square and some triangular. Some are shaped as rectangles with triangles cut out, so as to sit on a gabled roof as a chimney. A few of the bricks have small pieces chipped off, and most are quite dirty. Total number of items is 200.
