Summary
Ten metal model figures. Two are wearing blue and white clothing. One of these figures holds a spear above their head and an oval shield has detached. Four figures are wearing red and yellow clothing. Two are holding knives and carrying shields with brown bosses. One shield has detached. Three figures are larger than the others and are wearing multi-coloured clothing. One carries a rifle with a bayonet and two others are holding throwing spears, one of which is missing. Heyde is a German manufacturer known for their tin soldier figures. Like their British counterparts, they produced sets depicting famous historical conflicts and events, including colonial battles. The figures they produced included stereotypical representations of different nationalities and cultural groups.
