Summary
A red cardboard box with three internal compartments. It is the original box for a set of model sailors. A white paper label on the lid reads 'British Sailors. Landing Party With Breech Loading Field Gun. Patent No. 20775 Manufactured By W. Britain In London No. 79 Fred Whisstock'. The label also depicts ships at sea and a group of sailors on land, some running and some standing near a cannon. Inside the box is a rectangular piece of card pierced with fourteen holes which would originally have held the model sailors (not present). This piece of card has a circular badge surmounted by a crown with the words 'National Scheme for Disabled Men' surrounding a Union Jack. Beneath the badge is written 'Manufactured By W. Britain In London, England Trademark'. Total number of items is 3.
