Summary
A set seven of cast metal models of British sailors with thier original box. There are six lead model sailors with painted facial features and painted uniforms. They are wearing blue and white sailor collars, navy uniforms and blue and white berets. Their right articulated arms are holding rifles. All are standing on green rectangular bases. The is also one cast metal toy model Petty Officer is wearing a painted uniform comprising of a navy blue jacket and trousers, brown gaiters, black boots, and a navy blue peaked cap with a white top. The right arm pivots at the shoulder and carries a cutlass. He is mounted by the left foot on a green painted metal stand. The model is broken off the stand. The red cardboard box has a white label with black printing stuck over the top and one end of the removable lid. On the top, in a rope border, is written ' Bluejackets of the Royal Navy. British Sailors Fred Whisstock Manufactured By W Britain In London, England'. On the end of the label is printed, 'Bluejackets No. 78'. Loose in the box is a piece of white card with eight pairs of holes. Printed in the middle of this is a badge reading 'National Scheme for Disabled Men' and W. Britain's Trade Mark. Total number of items is 11.
