Summary
This collection comprises four metal model ships as follows: (Only 3 on display) A ship with a main mast and three funnels, it also has a bowsprit and two guns, one on the foredeck and one on the stern. Two ships with a main mast and the model of an engine with an exhaust, Each has a gun on the foredeck and an ensign flying from the stern. One of the ships has a flag staff on the stern but no ensign. In storage The fourth ship has a hull similar to the two ships above, but without any superstructure. It has a bowsprit and an ensign at the stern. Each of the three ships with a mast has cotton rigging and all of the ships have a small metal ring on the bottom to enable them to stand upright. The hull of each ship is painted grey with red painted portholes on each side of the bow and two red decoration lines round the hull. With this collection is a metal model turtle with dark red paint on the shell. There is also a mainly red painted rod, the purpose of which is not readily apparent. Total number of items is 6.
