Summary
A rectangular piece of beige cardboard with a black and white line drawing illustration printed on it. The illustration consists of two horizontal rows of soldiers. The top line has eleven soldiers, the first and last four grouped in pairs. The centre soldiers are in a group of three. The bottom row of soldiers consists of a further eleven soldiers, in pairs, with the last in a group of three. The soldiers are depicted marching in old fashioned dress. Some have guns and bayonets, others swords and axes. One soldier is playing a wind instrument, another a drum. Printed at the top is the title 'Redingtons New Foot Soldiers' and 'No.9'. Printed at the bottom is the publishers name and address. The reverse is plain white with a tear mark where a fixing tape has been removed.
