Summary
A red cardboard box for toy model soldiers. A yellow paper label on the lid reads British Soldiers. First Life Guards, Copyright Models. Manufactured By W. Britain In London, England'. On the left-hand side is a picture of one of the first life guards on horseback. On the right-hand side is a badge surmounted by a crown with the following Latin inscription 'Honi Soit Qui Mal.Y.Pense'. There is also a list of battles. Inside the box is a rectangular piece of card with fifteen circular holes which would have originally held the model soldiers in place (not present). A metal model soldier on a brown horse. The soldier has painted facial features, a navy uniform with yellow details and red stripes on the trousers, black boots and a hat with a white plume. In his right hand he holds a rifle, his right arm is hinged at the shoulder. Total number of items is 3.
