Summary
The original box for model soldiers, made of cardboard and consisting of a lid, a base and a cardboard insert to which the soldiers were attached. The box lid is covered with red paper and has a faded pale blue label with dark blue printing. The label reads 'British Soldiers, 7th (Princess Royal's) Dragoon Guards (Front Rank) copyright, manufactured by W. Britain in London England'. There is a picture of a Dragoon and of the badge, and lists of battles. On the end of the box is written '7th Dragoon Guards. No.127'. The bottom of the box is partly covered in red paper. The cardboard insert has five holes centrally placed on the long axis, and ten holes placed close to the edge of the long axis. There is a crest printed in black, centrally placed. Around the edge is printed 'National Scheme for Disabled Men'. Below this is printed 'Manufactured'. Total number of items is 3.
