Summary
The original box for model soldiers. It is made of red cardboard and consists of a lid and a base. Inside is a piece of cardboard to which the soldiers would have been attached, and two parts of a rifle - the butt and the barrel. The box is covered with red paper and has a blue label with dark blue printing. The label says 'British Soldiers, The Royal Scots, (The Royal Regiment), copyright models. Trade Mark, W. Britain, manufactured by, in London, England'. There is a picture of a soldier and of the badge and a list of battles. On the end of the top is printed 'The Royal Scots No.212' The bottom of the box is partly covered in red paper. The cardboard inside has eight pairs of holes and printed in black is a crest with 'National scheme for disabled men' printed around the periphery. Below this is 'manufactured in London, England. Trade Mark, W. Britain'. Total number of items is 5.
