Summary
A black cardboard box with separate lid, containing an acoustic telephone consisting of two black cardboard cylinders with parchment stretched over one end of each. They are connected by a string wound on a reel. In the box are also two leaflets, one printed in black, the other in red, advertising the telephone. The lid has a label printed in black on white referring to 'The improved telephone'. Known as the 'London Stereoscope Co' in 1855, then from 1856 known as 'London Stereoscopic Co. In 1859 added 'and Photographic Co' Total number of items is 5.
