Summary
A set of alphabet blocks,(circa 1846), in a square wooden box, with a removable lid, covered in colour printed paper. On the lid is a colour printed illustration of a little boy wearing a blue sailor suit and a boater with a red hat band. Sitting beside him is a brown and white dog watching as the boy begins to write or draw something on a white wall. Above the boy and the dog is printed 'A B C Blocks'. The remainder of the box is covered in tartan printed paper. Inside the box are eleven hollow wooden blocks. On each side of each block is a colour printed illustration or a letter of the alphabet. The illustrations include animals, toys and a boy. Total number of items is 13.
