Summary
A brass coloured coated metal tin with hinged lid. The tin will not open without force. The lid is printed with a red, black and white description of contents. This reads 'SUPPLIED TO EDWARD VII By Royal Letters Patent SANDOW'S SPRING GRIP DUMB-BELL' . There is something in the tin, but this cannot be identified as the tin is not currently open able. Each dumb-bell is made of steel in two halves, with the narrow hand grip is covered in red fabric. The two halves are held together by steel pins at each end and are held apart by 7 springs (3 springs missing from one) so that the hand can grip and release. 'SANDOW' AND 'PATENT' are impressed on the inside. Total number of items is 3.
