Summary
A battledore which consists of a double-sided pear-shaped head which is covered in skin stretched taut over the frame. The edge of the head has a red leather tooled edging which has a scalloped edge which extends onto the face of the bat. The wooden handle is covered in the same red leather and tooled design. At one time it has had gold leaf, a lot of which is missing. The base of the handle has a leather loop and a metal stud which probably extends up through the handle.
