Summary
This is a wooden box for a Bowman Tank Loco toy train. (circa 1926 to circa 1929). The lid has two wire hinges, one of which is broken. On the lid is impressed, in black, the head of an Indian chief drawing a bow, and beneath this is a diamond in which is written 'Bowman models'. Beneath this is impressed 'Trade Mark' and 'Derham Norfolk'. On either end is printed 'Bowman Tank loco L.M.S. Model 300 Black R'L'Y'. The box also contained a bill from Chandlers, Bideford, with a list of toys with 'Mrs. Cadbury' written at the bottom, and a black plastic ring that could have come from a camera. Total number of items is 3.
