Summary
Nineteen sheets of cream paper each depicting printed theatre figures or scenes. Seventeen are black and white and two are in colour. The corresponding names of some of the figures are printed beneath, e.g., 'St. George of England'. Some of the sheets depict soldiers from different county regiments. The sheets have been printed by different people as follows. One sheet is published by 'R. Lloyd'; one by 'B. Pollock'; nine by 'J. Redington'; one by 'E. Skelt'; three by 'G. Skelt'; one by 'M. Skelt' and three by 'M. and B. Skelt'. There is also one rectangular thin sheet of cardboard with a cream coloured paper sheet stuck onto it, printed with two columns of soldiers in black ink. Each column has one soldier at the head with six pairs of soldiers ranked behind him. The two lead soldiers are bearing a sword aloft whilst the near side soldier of each following pair has a gun to his shoulder. At the top right hand edge is printed 'No. 11' and along the left edge 'Redington's New Foot Soldiers'. Along the right hand edge is printed 'London Published by J. Redington. 73, Hoxton Street, Formerly called 208 Hoxton Old Town'. Total number of items is 20.
