Summary
A child's ivory or bone cup and ball, (circa 1820). The cup is a hollow semi-circle, the outside of which is elaborately carved with flowers, leaves and geometric patterns. The handle which tapers to a point is also elaborately carved with foliate and floral designs. Half way down the handle is a circular hole which does not pierce the diameter of the handle. The ball is also made of ivory or bone and has a hole drilled through it - on one side this is much wider than the other. A piece of string is threaded through the hole and knotted at the narrower end. The ball and string are detached from the cup and its handle. Total number of items is 2.
