Summary
A doll's baby carriage (dated 1890 - 1900) with two large rear wheels and two small front wheels all made of iron and spoked. It would have been an expensive toy for its time. An iron frame supports the carriage made of lattice work wicker cane painted black. Elongated S shaped iron bars are joined together with a turned wooden handle. A hinged black leather hood (with brown fabric lining) is attached to the carriage on brass hinges. The interior of the carriage is upholstered with brown leather and has a removable leather covered square panel in the base. In the cavity beneath is a leather strap and some loose nails. The cavity is made of wood and painted black with red detailing on the exterior. It hangs down from the base of the carriage on the exterior.
