Summary
Pair of silver coloured metal roller skates of the type that are fastened round a child's own shoes. The fastenings are made from red leather and consist of ankle straps with buckles and laced pieces at the front. The laces are very dirty white. On the leather front pieces, 'Genuine "Jaco" Regd' is printed in gold. The wheels are made from black plastic. The skates' size can be adjusted by means of slackening off a nut and bolt on the underside and sliding the two halves of the skate either together or apart. One of the leather ankle straps has broken (still kept with the skates) and has been replaced with a thinner black leather strap. Total number of items is 3.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mr R. D. Blackwell in September 2010.
