Summary
A pale pink, sparkly, plastic 'Tummy Tub' (2006). It is on a pale pink flower-shaped base which can interlock with the stand (catalogued separately) which is embossed with 'Up To 50kg / 110 lb', with a brighter pink flower shape connecting the base to the tub. The tub is a clear plastic, with pink glitter set into it, which has a wide brim and handles either side. The 'Tummy Tub' is designed for new born babies to a 6-months old. It is designed that the baby sits in the foetal position, calmed through total immersion in the water, to make bathing a pleasurable experience for both mother and child. It is lightweight even when full of water. The 'Tummy Tub' promotion on their website reads 'The new concept in bathing babies up to 6 months. The benefits of the TummyTub are acknowledged in maternity hospitals and homes throughout Europe. Endorsed by doctors, midwives and health visitors'. Bought for and used by the donor's baby daughter (Kathryn, born 2006)
