Summary
A 1970s plastic 'Pippa' doll. This doll is one of Pippa's friends, called 'Britt'. She has 'tanned' skin, shoulder length white/blonde hair, blue eyes with eyelashes still attached, pink lips and cheeks with painted brown eyebrows. The doll has four moving joints: knees, waist, shoulders and head. The doll is wearing blue nylon trousers, with an elasticated waistband, a blue, green, purple, yellow and white nylon full sleeved tunic, which has a white lace trim around the neck and clips together at the back.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs Joyce Howard-Monks in 2010. Part of the contents of the ‘Hobbies’ doll’s house – inventory number 663517 - made by the donor’s father, Ronald Graham (b.1902), for his two grandchildren Lynn Pick (b.1964) and Dawn Lawton (b.1966).
