Summary
A circa 1975 doll's pram made by 'Silver Cross' as regarded as an 'expensive' toy to buy. It has with it cotton bedding, and a baby toy. The pram base is grey and brown metal with shiny silver detailing. The pram is supported by four wheels, the back set slightly larger than the front set, on an arch suspension mechanism, and a silver wire basket sits below the pram. On the right side is a metal lever with a white plastic handle which, when lowered, acts as a brake. On the front of the pram is a raised shiny silver metal emblem reading 'Silver Cross'. Above this is a rectangular gold sticker reading 'Supplied by NOTTINGHAM PRAM CO. LTD.' with the address and telephone number below. The handle bar is made of shiny silver metal with a white plastic coated handle. Embossed in the centre of the handle is silver writing reading 'Silver Cross'. The folding hood and pram cover are dark brown material with dark brown plastic lining. The folding mechanism and cover fastenings are made of silver metal. Inside the pram is a cream plastic strap to hold the doll in place. Inside the pram is yellow cotton bedding with orange, green and brown floral patterns. This comprises a foam pillow and a blanket with a loosely pleated edge. A removable seat made of silver metal and brown plastic also accompanies the pram, and can be fastened to the rim of the pram. There is also a baby toy made of yellow, orange, green, blue and red plastic, held together by black elastic. Total number of items is 6.
